I have given the simplest steps for Mac OS which runs the program from command line.

STEPS
git clone https://github.com/tzutalin/labelImg
pip install PyQt5 lxml
cd labelImg ##(enter the labelImg directory)
make qt5py3
python3 labelImg.py
